2020 started in the usual way, we opened registrations early in January and started to take peoples’ details for rehearsals which filled up quickly.  The rehearsal in Burnley on 14th March went ahead with some measures which we didn’t know at the time would quickly become known as ‘social distancing’.

Just ten days later the UK went into ‘Lockdown’ as a result of the global Covid-19 pandemic and we sat in our homes wondering what would happen next.

By late May it became clear that we would not be able to hold the event as planned so our wonderful singing leaders got their thinking caps on and came up with a new project that we could take part in from our homes.

So instead of physically singing together out of doors, we made the Sing for Water North 2020 Collaborative Video!  It was made, not in Preston Flag Market but in our own front rooms with love and determination and circulated on social media asking people to donate via our JustGiving page rather than throwing money in our bucket.
