“We had an excellent day yesterday in Kendal with lots of enthusiastic learning and singing and dancing.
All the leaders from the area came and helped – that’s Clare Mee, Anni Tracey, David Burbidge, Lucinda Guiness & Rachel Wadey
Well over half of the people who were there have registered to come to Sing for Water North in Albert Square on 12th June. Everyone paid for the rehearsal on top of their registration and an extra £580 was given for teas and coffees and whatnot. Every penny will go directly to WaterAid because the leaders paid for the venue and the brews themselves, out of their own pockets!
It was a warm and welcoming day with a lovely shared sense of purpose and commitment and in the end the whole repertoire sounded heartfelt and confident.
Well done and thank you to the Cumbrians – see you down in Manchester!”
