We went singing in the rain and raised £358!

Well done to everyone who braved the rain yesterday to join The Big Busk in St Ann’s Square to mark World Water Day!

We had singers from Picturehouse choir, Open Voice, the Shylarks and Manchester Larks as well as several other singing friends.  The weather was dreadful but each choir did their own set before we all joined together to sing our ‘water’ songs; Singing in the Rain, which we sang several times, went down particularly well with the crowds!

Most importantly, we raised £358 which will be going directly to WaterAid!  Just £15 can provide clean water and sanitation for one person FOR LIFE so that is nearly 24 people helped simply as a result of our efforts yesterday, well done everyone!

If anyone has any photos or videos of our performance that they would be willing to share, we would love to hear from you! You can email us at singforwaternorth@gmail.com
